The Basics
A hostel is a budget-friendly accommodation that offers dormitory-style and private rooms with shared facilities — bathrooms, communal areas, and often a kitchen. It's a popular choice for travelers who want to meet people and experience more for less. At Wanderlust District, we've taken that concept and built something a bit more curated: stylish rooms, a proper homemade breakfast, and a community of people who are actually here to explore the city.
We have something for every budget — from mixed and female-only dorms to private single, double, and twin rooms, some with ensuite bathrooms. Every room has a name and its own personality. Check the Rooms section for photos and availability.

Your Stay
Every stay includes a free homemade breakfast (guests say it's the best hostel breakfast they've ever had), ultra-fast Wi-Fi, hot showers, secure lockers in all dorms, open common areas including a rooftop terrace and patio, and daily activities — some free, some low cost. We also organize bike tours, day trips, food tours, Lucha Libre nights, and more.
Toiletries, a padlock for the lockers (dorms), a travel adapter, earplugs if you're a light sleeper, and your passport — you'll need it at check-in, no exceptions.
Breakfast is served from 9:30am to 10:00am. We cook it fresh every morning, so the window is short and intentional. It's also one of the best parts of staying here: everyone comes down at the same time, sits together, compares plans for the day, and more often than not ends up exploring the city in a group they met twenty minutes earlier. Set your alarm. Seriously, don't skip it.
The earliest we can receive your luggage is 10:30am. After check-out, storage is free until 5:00pm — so if your flight is in the evening, you're covered.
Need to secure something smaller? You can rent a locker for 150 MXN. And if you want to make the most of your last few hours in the city without dragging your bags around — work remotely, take a shower, rest on the terrace, use the Wi-Fi — a day pass is available for 250 MXN and gives you full access to all facilities. A lot of guests do this on their checkout day and end up staying until the last possible minute.

That's kind of the whole point. Breakfast is the natural meeting point — everyone comes down, eats together, and starts planning their day. The common areas, rooftop, and daily activities make it easy to connect with people without it feeling forced. It's social without being a party. You'll find solo travelers, creatives, couples, remote workers, and people just here to explore Mexico City.
Getting Here
Uber is the easiest option — average fare from MEX airport is around $12 USD, door to door with no stress. Just open the app at arrivals, request a ride, and you'll be here in 20–30 minutes depending on traffic. It's what most of our guests do.
If you prefer the metro, the closest stop is Cuauhtémoc on the pink line (Line 1). It's cheap, direct, and a perfectly valid option — but avoid it during rush hours (8–10am and 6–8pm). It gets genuinely packed and isn't fun with a backpack.

Yes. Juárez, Roma, and Condesa are among the safest and most walkable neighborhoods in Mexico City for travelers. Tree-lined streets, great cafés, restaurants on every corner, and plenty of people out at all hours — it genuinely feels like a neighborhood, not a tourist zone. You'll be comfortable walking around day or night.
Policies
We focus on guests between 23 and 40 years old. It's not a strict rule, but it reflects the kind of crowd we've built here — people who are past the gap-year party phase but still very much into exploring, meeting people, and doing things. If you're outside that range, just reach out before booking and we'll have a chat.
Free cancellation up to 7 days before arrival.
Late cancellations (within 7 days) or no-shows will be charged the full amount of the stay. A 5% administrative fee from our payment processor is non-refundable in all cases, even within the free cancellation window.
Oct 24 – Nov 3 (Día de Muertos): All bookings during this period are non-refundable.
Early departures are non-refundable — you'll be charged for the full stay as originally booked.
